Keith Edwards was born in New York City in 1957. Growing up as the youngest in a family of "creatives" Keith was trained as a musician - but he went his own way. He broke in a as a pilot at age twenty one by taking on a flight none of the older pilots wanted. Fulfilling a recent widower's promise to scatter his wife's ashes at a spot 45 degrees off a point on the Jersey coast, the ashes blew back into the cockpit and covered Keith. On his return the other pilots pretended not to notice as Keith donned the vacuum cleaner to clean up the cockpit, with a hundred dollar tip in his pocket.
In recent years Keith has traveled extensively which has led to a love of photography. This prompted a confluence of all of Keith's life experiences that manifested in his rendering digital art from his photos when forced to stay home by the Covid pandemic. Keith calls his work "PosterArte". Throughout his life Keith has also kept up with his avocation as a Composer/Lyricist, as a music publisher, and a shareholder shepherding his dad's show 1776.
In September 2020 Keith's first PosterArte submission was selected for exhibition in the University of Arizona Museum of Art's "New Perspectives" exhibition. It is entitled "The Italian Monk" https://picturing2020.artmuseum.arizona.edu/works/keith-edwards/
